                             Penmorfa

The Penmorfa adit was constructed to drain the old and new mines. The society has for numerous years explored the workings that can be reached by this entrance, looking for the connection to the shafts and working around the Pyllau area of the Great Orme but to no avail.

Entrance is gained by way of a gate at the end of Abbey Place into a 600mm concrete pipe. This pipe was installed during 1998 after the society had informed the local council that the entrance ginging was in danger of collapse.

The photographs displayed here have been taken by a variety of club members. Due to the large number available these images are not in any particular order.
