Ogof Tudno is situated above the Marine Drive on the northern flanks of the Great Orme. There is a well defined footpath cut into the bank, zig zagging its way up to Badgers - a semi natural cave that has been extended in the past.
The floor of Badgers is covered in the remains of badger activity of a great age, with no evidence of any recent habitation. There has been some limited archaeological excavation within the cave and Steve Lea, Dave Chapman and Nigel Bannerman have produced an extensive survey of the area.
Ogof Tudno is just around the corner from Badgers and was found after a bit of poking about. It was dug over a summer to a depth of 40 feet where it was left due to the onset of winter. We have not been back since?
There is evidence of other workings in this area and it deserves some more exploration and interpretation.
